About Jacob Amacker

Jacob Amacker works as a product engineer at inertial navigation systems (INS) manufacturer Oxford Technical Solutions (OxTS). He graduated from Oxford University with a physics degree and is now responsible for product development within the Survey and Mapping department at OxTS. His main task is to drive new and innovative features into an already established line up of products that provide survey and mapping professionals with accurate inertial data including position, heading, roll and pitch measurements. Another large part of his role is to work on new integrations with other complimentary technologies such as lidar sensors and photogrammetry solutions. With a number of exciting projects underway, including updates to OxTS’ own boresight calibration tool, and with a number of new innovations in the pipeline, Amacker is at the forefront of delivering go-to products for the survey and mapping industry.
